Snow Doggie

Omalos and the White Mountains

After a full week of rain (and even a smattering of snow!) down here at sea level, a trip up to the “high country” on this beautiful blue sky day was in perfect order.  So, Ela and I jumped in the car and headed off towards Omalos, a short hour drive and a favorite winter playground spot for the Greeks (and expats!) in Hania.  I was really curious to find out how Ela would react to seeing snow for the first time – sort of an initiation into her possible Colorado life.  At first, she didn’t quite know what to think of it… but it didn’t take long for her to become a full blown, wild and crazy snow dog.

She even found a new friend to share the adventure with.

It was a fantastic day for both of us!

About Melanie A Crane

Quote: "The best journeys ask questions that in the beginning you never thought to ask." (Anon) Here's my journey: Enjoying my short life on this earth one moment at a time by being intentional with God, family, traveling, cooking, gardening, Colorado living and all the perks that come with it, playing guitar, listening more and talking less. I've discovered that both cooking and travel can be messy at times but the risks can have some amazing results. The same goes for life lived with passion.
